New Food hears from Caitlin Boon from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about how they will deliver a safer and smarter era of food safety…
Episode six of The New Food Podcast has our Editor, Bethan Grylls speaking to Caitlin Boon from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ahead of her appearance at Food Integrity 2020.
Boon is the FDA’s Associate Commissioner for Food Policy and Response and will be presenting a session on ‘Looking to the Future and a New Era of Smarter Food Safety’ at Food Integrity. The presentation will be followed by a live interview with Grylls.
Boon will also be part of a panel session on ‘How to Regulate to Increase the Integrity of the Food Industry’, this will cover areas such as ethical trading standards, Brexit and how to collaborate on a global scale.
The moderator of this session will be Andy Richardson, Head of Corporate Affairs, Volac, Chair Welsh Food & Drink Board. Alongside Boon, the panel will comprise Liz Colebrook, Global SRA Director, Food Safety, Mars; Professor Huub Lelieveld, President, Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI); and Peter Whelan, Director, Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
