The United Nations (UN) Food Systems Summit, which took place last month (September), staged some big decision‑making regarding the future production and consumption of food.
It is more important than ever to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the target of 2030 and, as such, the Summit Secretariat has issued a call for game-changing solutions (detailed below) to pick up the pace.
Work underway
The preparatory work for the summit has been underway for some time. A large part of that work is being carried out under five different Action Tracks (ATs) and within each of these individual tracks also sit several activities and tasks that will be carried out.

AT 2: Shift to sustainable consumption patterns
AT 3: Boost nature-positive production
AT 4: Advance equitable livelihoods
AT 5: Build resilience to vulnerabilities, shocks and stress.
