Our top story this week will make for good reading for coffee fans, as a long-term study has suggested drinking higher amounts of coffee may make you less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease. In a study of more than 200 Australians, drinking more coffee gave positive results in relation to certain domains of cognitive function, specifically executive function which includes planning, self-control, and attention.
Whisky distillery Kavalan has scooped the top prize at this year’s prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition. The Taiwanese distillery was awarded the Worldwide Whiskey Producer trophy by the IWSC, capping off a fruitful awards season for the producer.
And finally, popular turkey retailer Jennie-O has teamed up with YouTube star Mr Beast to give away more than 10,000 turkeys this Thanksgiving. Mr Beast, who’s real name is Jimmy Donaldson, handed out turkeys totalling more than 250,000 dollars to those in need in Greenville, North Carolina.
