HEINEKEN has appointed Chris Barrow to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer…
Heineken N.V. (‘HEINEKEN’) today announced that it has appointed Chris Barrow, currently Managing Director HEINEKEN Brasil, to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Chris will join the Executive Committee, reporting to Jean-François van Boxmeer, Chairman of the Executive Board/CEO, and will oversee the evolution of HEINEKEN’s wider business strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Jean-François van Boxmeer said: “Over the last few years we have made considerable progress in the development of our organic growth strategy and have significantly increased our platforms for growth through acquisition. As we look to the future, we want to ensure that we continue to put professional and dedicated support behind assessing and addressing our strategic issues, opportunities and choices. With more than 20 years of experience in brewing, and having led successful strategies, projects and major businesses within HEINEKEN, Chris has absolutely the right credentials for the role.”
Chris will relocate from Brazil to Amsterdam and take up his new position in August.
