Dr. Stefaan Van Dyck joins the food technologies division of Kemin as regional president for the Europe, Middle East and African (EMEA) markets.

“The EMEA market represents one of our largest growth opportunities,” said Melanie Galloway, global president of the food technologies division of Kemin. “I am confident that Stefaan’s vast experience in research and development, product management and commercial sales will elevate our business and increase our presence as a market leader.”

Van Dyck joined Kemin in 2001 as research and development manager for the animal nutrition and health division in EMEA, focusing on antioxidant and surfactant product lines. In 2010, he assumed the role of global research and development director for the animal nutrition and health division, coordinating a global research team until he returned to the EMEA division in 2012 as vice president of research and development responsible for research, regulatory affairs and intellectual property. Most recently, Van Dyck served as commercial vice president overseeing marketing, product application and commercial sales departments for the ruminant business in EMEA.

Van Dyck obtained a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Antwerp in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration from Antwerp Management School in 2006. Additionally, he is an invited professor at the University of Antwerp, teaching food chemistry for Masters of Science students in industrial chemistry.
