Rapidly and accurately determine fat and moisture in both dry and wet samples with the new HYBRID Trac™…
Rapidly and accurately determine fat and moisture in both dry and wet samples with the new HYBRID Trac™. Combining proven microwave moisture analysis with a 2nd generation, patent-pending NMR system, HYBRID Trac provides fast, accurate results in products as diverse as snack foods, wet or dry pet food, dairy powders, liquid dairy products, cheese, sauces, and ice cream mixes. It can be used in the QA/QC laboratory or at-line to help companies make ingredient adjustments, optimize their process, and maximize least cost formulation.
HYBRID Trac utilizes the proven microwave drying capability of the SMART Turbo to quickly dry wet samples before they are placed in the NMR. The NMR has two new patent-pending capabilities: a rapid sample conditioning feature that reduces test times and a technology that allows the system to accurately determine moisture for dry samples over a broad fat content range, which first generation NMR systems were unable to do. More accurate than NIR, the system’s methods are also more robust and the results are not affected by changes in additives, color, or granularity. Easy-to-read results are displayed on the system’s touch screen at the end of the test, at which time the operator is informed whether or not the results were within specification for the sample type.
The HYBRID Trac features an intuitive, easy-to-use touch screen interface and methods can be created with only three samples. Methods transfer easily from unit-to-unit and site-to-site for dependable reproducibility.
