The European Federation of Foie Gras and Copa-Cogeca has welcomed the European Parliament’s vote against the ban of assisted feeding for foie gras production. The vote comes despite many arguing that the very process involved in foie gras production is inhumane and cruel.
UK supermarket Waitrose has launched a new dairy alternative in the form of potato milk. Potato milk reportedly has a low carbon footprint and is free from many common allergens, including soy, nuts, and gluten.
And finally a new study has revealed support for edible packaging across multiple global regions, including India, China and Brazil. Whether it’s made from rice flour, wheat or sorghum, it appears as if people are ready to eat their cereal boxes for a more sustainable future.
