The USDA and the EPA have announced seven new US Food Loss and Waste 2030 Champions. These are food industry leaders that have committed to reducing food loss and waste in their US operations by 50 percent by 2030. The companies include Starbucks and Danone North America.
A recent study has demonstrated how cow’s milk can trigger cells that are known to damage neurons which can worsen MS symptoms. The adverse effects only impacted MS patients who are allergic to cow’s milk casein. But the researchers found that it is possible that cow’s milk also increases the risk of developing MS in healthy individuals, although they note that a casein allergy alone is not enough for someone to develop MS.
And finally, new research indicates that not getting enough sleep can lead to a cycle of over-eating and further sleep deprivation. The Sleep Foundation has also confirmed this and stated that eating well can help you sleep well.
