Scandi Standard signs agreement to acquire Lagerbergs

Scandi Standard, the largest producer of chicken in the Nordic Region with leading positions in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, has signed an agreement to acquire Lagerbergs.

The proposed acquisition is subject to the approval of the Swedish competition authority, for a price of SEK 105 million on a debt free basis.

Lagerbergs is the third largest producer of chicken products in Sweden, processing approximately 10 million birds annually, with sales in 2014 of approximately SEK 300 million. The business has been owned and operated by the Lagerberg family since it was established in 1965 and there are 120 employees.
