In the UK, Lidl has announced that it is extending its recall of various cookies due to the possible presence of metal.

As well as recalling the products, the retailer is going to be displaying point of sale notices in any store that was selling the product.

Advice to consumers states that anyone who has purchased the recalled cookies should not eat them. Instead they can be returned to the store of purchase for a full refund.

Pathogens

Meanwhile in the US Rico Brand is recalling its Ready-to-eat Enchiladas made with Queso Fresco containing cheese as part of the voluntary recall from Rizo-Lopez Foods, Inc.

This is because there is a “potential contamination” with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product was distributed in norther Utah Supermarkets including Smith’s, Harmons, Macey’s The Store, Fresh Markets. The products are packaged in a deep meal tray (Plant Fiber – Film 800).

The following LOT codes and expiration dates are involved in this recall: Lot. 0234 02/13/24, Lot. 0264 02/16/24, Lot. 0304 02/20/24, Lot. 0334 02/23/24.

According to Rico Brand “no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products”.

Advice to consumers states that anyone who has purchased the recalled product should dispose of it or return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
