Discount retailer Aldi has announced UK expansion plans and has committed to creating 5,500 new roles during 2024.
Discount supermarket Aldi has announced that it will be creating a further 5,500 jobs in the UK amid expansion plans.
Roles on offer will include Store Assistants, Managers and Cleaners across a variety of stores set to open in 2024.
Aldi is the UK’s is Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket, who overtook Morrisons back in 2022. Currently Aldi has over 1000 stores in the UK alone.
New employees will also be recruited across its 11 regional distribution centres, as well as within their head office, based in Warwickshire, England.
Sharing expected salaries, Aldi has confirmed that store and warehouse assistants will receive a starting salary of £12.00 rising to £12.95 nationally, although those working within the M25 receive £13.55 rising to £13.85.

“We are looking forward to welcoming even more colleagues up and down the country to Team Aldi during 2024 as we progress towards our goal of making affordable, quality food accessible to everyone.”
Throughout 2023 and 2024, Aldi will be investing more than £1.4 billion, working towards its long-term target of opening an additional 500 stores across the country.
