Estrella Galicia has established a UK subsidiary following strong sales growth, aiming to enhance distribution and customer engagement in the British market.

Estrella Galicia strengthens its UK presence with a new subsidiary to enhance distribution and customer engagement
Spanish brewer Hijos de Rivera, the company behind Estrella Galicia, has established a UK subsidiary to capitalise on growing demand and strengthen its market position.
The new division, Estrella Galicia UK, has been launched following “exponential growth in sales over recent years,” according to the company. The move is part of a broader strategy to deepen its presence in the British market and improve distribution.
“Having our own subsidiary in a market as dynamic and with as much potential as the UK will allow us to put down roots here,” said Francisco Ucha, managing director of Corporación Hijos de Rivera. “This will bring us closer to our customers, enhancing their understanding of our products while giving us greater agility in distribution.”
Despite the new UK entity, Estrella Galicia’s partnership with Greene King will continue, the company confirmed.
Aitor de Artaza, director of Estrella Galicia Internacional, highlighted the strategic benefits of the expansion: “Estrella Galicia UK will enable us to bring our teams closer to customers on the ground, improving service and brand positioning. It will also support our investment strategy to drive business growth in this key international market.”
The UK remains a crucial focus for Estrella Galicia as it seeks to build on its recent success and strengthen its foothold in the competitive beer sector.
