Home Bargains partners with Tom Kitchin for new frozen meal range

Michelin-starred chef Tom Kitchin, owner of the acclaimed fine dining restaurant The Kitchin in Edinburgh, has launched a new range of frozen ready meals in collaboration with discount retailer Home Bargains.

This new venture places Kitchin among a growing list of well-known chefs turning their attention to the the frozen food market. Celebrity chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, and Gino D’Acampo have each introduced their own lines of frozen meals in recent years, as demand for convenient, high-quality food continues to rise.

The trend reflects a shift in how households are sourcing prepared meals, with more consumers looking for accessible options that still carry the stamp of culinary credibility.

The exclusive range features four ready meals created with input from Kitchin and inspired by dishes from his own repertoire.

Tom Kitchin said he was “thrilled” to partner with Home Bargains to bring his favourite dishes to freezers across the country.

The new range includes:

• Al Forno Lasagne – Made with British beef mince, Italian Chianti wine, Grana Padano and vintage Cheddar cheese, priced at £2.99.
• Cottage Pie – A combination of slow-cooked British beef steak and mince, vegetables, and mashed potato topped with vintage Cheddar (£2.99).
• Spaghetti Carbonara – Features smoked pancetta, Grana Padano, and a creamy sauce made with vintage Cheddar (£2.99).
• Steak Pie (2 Pack) – Hearty beef pies with slow-cooked British beef steak and pale ale (£2.89).
