A Cabinplant invention results in higher weighing accuracy & a reduction of give-away for large products in ‘few piece’ portions...
Once again, a Cabinplant invention (now patent pending) results in significantly higher weighing accuracy and a considerable reduction of give-away for large products in ‘few piece’ portions.
When customers from the poultry industry in early 2011 wanted to expand their packing line with Cabinplant equipment, they discussed their opportunities with Cabinplant on how to further improve the weighing accuracy while reducing the give-away.
With the aim of improving the weighing combination even further, Cabinplant invented an extra feature for the existing Cabinplant screw feeding multihead weigher. In order to minimize the number of duplets, triplets and ‘zeroes’ (empty fillings), sensor gates were mounted on each assembling pan, enabling feed back on product filling in each pan.
Tests with customers’ products, e.g. chicken fillets, were carried out in customers’ workshop with great success. The frequency of only one fillet being fed in each pan was much higher due to the sensor gates (feed back on product filling) as well as the improvement of the product flow and the reduced product layer on the top cone. Combined with the minimized number of duplets and triplets and the now insignificant number of ‘zeroes’, the result was a significantly higher weighing accuracy and a considerably reduced give- away.
With its new revolutionary technology, Cabinplant’s multihead weigher is the best multihead weigher on the market to weigh accurate ‘few-piece’ portions. The latest tests of this feature show a give-away reduction of 3 per cent compared to other multihead weighers on the market, which again positions Cabinplant as the leading developer and manufacturer of Multihead Weighers in the food processing industry.
