The Food Standards Agency's Biannual Public Attitudes Tracker monitors consumer attitudes towards food-related issues, such as food safety, food health, labelling and transparency.
Although consumers typically associate food hygiene ratings with the hospitality sector, 57 percent of the report respondents said they expect food producers to have scores, as well as 24 percent expecting ratings for farmers and growers.

The Board has stressed its commitment to supporting food businesses to keep consumers safe, and to develop a greater understanding of food allergens through further research, which would make a significant improvement to people’s lives in this area.
