The news that the UK Government is set to better regulate contracts has been welcomed by bodies’ such as Diary UK and the NFU, as more formal pricing mechanisms were favoured by respondents.
Farmers and dairy producers across the UK consulted on new, fairer conditions for their milk contracts.
The funding, designed to provide support for the Northern Irish agricultural sector during the Brexit transition, was confirmed by Chancellor Sajid Javid and is part of an overall £2.8 billion package.
