The New Food team get the lowdown on new allergens that might emerge as we strive to create a more innovative and sustainable food sector. Hear from two leading allergen experts and the usual trio of Bethan, Abi, and Josh.
As we strive to create a more sustainable food sector, are we unwittingly exposing consumers to allergens that we are not currently aware of? That’s a question that has been asked by many in the food and beverage industry as the march of plant-based and alternative foods continues ever stronger, and we wanted an answer.
So the New Food team called on some expert backup, in the form of Dr Ruchi Gupta and Jen Jobrack – two highly regarded allergen experts – to talk all things emerging allergens and try to shed some light on a difficult topic.
