Food and beverage manufacturer increases efficiency and quality control with total organic carbon analysis of cleaning cycles.
A food and beverage manufacturer sought to implement new process tools to improve product quality and safety, increase efficiency, and reduce water usage. The company successfully implemented Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis to monitor rinse samples after clean-in-place cycles to verify cleanliness of equipment and provide greater understanding of the cleaning process. TOC analysis also allows manufacturers to shorten cleaning cycles, thus reducing water usage and saving money. TOC analysis in grab mode allowed the F&B customer to troubleshoot the cleaning process and determine the location of a failure in equipment.
