Flexible LIMS supports storage and sample processing in a commercial testing laboratory for single genes and parentage testing for dairy cows.
GeneMark offers a range of bovine DNA testing services at its purpose-built laboratory, with the focus on sample processing and parent matching using DNA profiles. Most inaccuracies in herd records stem from errors in recording and identification, and work in commercial herds estimates average calving errors to be 20% and above. GeneMark needed a LIMS that would integrate with their inhouse system and provide a foundation for the storage and processing of vast quantities of data.
