This application note demonstrates the use of the Agilent 8890 GC system coupled with the Agilent 7000D GC/MS triple quadrupole mass spectrometer to detect and quantify ethylene oxide and ethylene chlorohydrin in sesame seed samples. The method provides the highest confidence in results for routine analysis for the food industry, whether involved in production, processing, storage, or commercial testing of sesame seed samples or for academic purposes.
