Séan Rickard
Director, Sean Rickard Ltd
Sean combines an in depth knowledge of the agri-food chain including its domestic and international trading environments with a passion for business efficiency. He blends strategic thinking with a good, practical understanding of the challenges facing farming and its supply chains (domestic and international) in the twenty first century; in particular the trilemma of food security, sustainable development and climate change. He is committed to a modern food system and believes efficient farm businesses not only lie at the heart of a well performing, integrated supply chain but also offer the potential to minimise the demands food production make on natural resources while enhancing the amenity value of the environment. Former Chief Economist for the NFU he has a strong, academic background as well as extensive communications and media experience.
